As an Audit Senior, you'll play a key role in the establishment of a brand-new audit team based in Belfast, working with clients across various sectors. This position provides an excellent opportunity to build a team from the ground up and to collaborate closely with the Dublin team. Reporting directly to the Engagement Manager and Partner, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of audit engagements, ensuring quality control and efficient completion.



What you will do:



  • Assist in audit planning, including staffing and setting deadlines.

  • Attend client audit planning meetings to understand their needs and expectations.

  • Prepare financial statements and produce high-quality work papers for review.

  • Address and resolve queries raised by managers on audit work papers.

  • Finalise audit files and bring each assignment to successful completion.


What you will have:


  • Qualifications: ACA or ACCA qualified.


  • Experience: Strong knowledge of auditing, ideally within the Financial Services industry (though FS experience is not essential).


  • Skills:

    • Proven ability to coach and mentor junior staff.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in business report writing.

    • Working knowledge of Irish GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP
