HR Business Partner – Belfast
Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Business Partner to support a growing workforce across a busy manufacturing business operation. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping a high-performing and engaged workforce while ensuring compliance with employment legislation across both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key HR initiatives aligned to organisational objectives, driving employee engagement, leading recruitment efforts, and supporting people managers.
Objectives: As a key member of the leadership team, the HR Business Partner will oversee all aspects of human resources management and strategy. You will lead initiatives to enhance employee well-being, oversee talent development, and champion a positive workplace culture. The role also involves providing HR reporting aligned with strategic goals, and delivering valuable insights on workforce trends and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Organisational Culture & Engagement:
Foster a values-driven, inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement and morale.
Design and implement cultural initiatives such as recognition programs, feedback channels, and team-building activities.
Talent Acquisition & Retention:
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
Establish effective retention strategies, including development pathways and competitive benefits.
Employee Support & Wellbeing:
Create and manage employee support and wellness programmes.
Promote work-life balance and mental well-being.
Learning & Development:
Identify learning needs and implement training initiatives.
Support succession planning and career progression across all levels.
Provide coaching to managers on leadership and people management.
Performance Management:
Implement a robust performance management framework.
Guide regular performance reviews and development discussions.
Compliance & Policy Management:
Ensure adherence to employment laws and standards in ROI and NI.
Maintain up-to-date HR policies, handbooks, and procedures.
Data-Driven HR Management:
Monitor key HR metrics and analyse workforce data.
Deliver regular reports aligned with strategic business goals.
Employee Relations & Communication:
Promote open communication across all levels of the business.
Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts constructively.
Engagement & Feedback Mechanisms:
Conduct engagement surveys and implement related action plans.
Continually assess and respond to employee sentiment.
Confidentiality:
Uphold strict confidentiality in all matters related to staff.
Requirements:
Third level degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
Proven HR management experience, ideally across multiple sites.
Strong understanding of employment law in both ROI and NI.
Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching capabilities.
People-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Well-organised with strong time management.
Ability to influence and build strong working relationships across departments.
