As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Syndeo, you will be at the frontline of our sales team, identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. You will drive sales pipeline growth through a mix of outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification, and strategic account-based outreach.
This role is ideal for someone who is ambitious, results-driven, and eager to build a career in technology sales. You will work closely with marketing, sales, and partner teams to generate interest in Syndeo’s Conversational AI solutions and book high-quality meetings with enterprise decision-makers.

Your key responsibilities will be:
Direct Outreach & Lead Generation
- Prospect and engage senior decision-makers (e.g., Heads of Customer Experience, CIOs, Contact Centre Directors).
- Execute outbound prospecting via LinkedIn, email, and phone calls.
- Personalise outreach using account-based marketing principles.
Inbound Lead Qualification
- Qualify inbound leads generated from marketing campaigns, events, and webinars.
- Identify pain points and business challenges to align Syndeo’s solutions effectively.
- Ensure all qualified leads meet sales-accepted opportunity (SAO) criteria.
Sales Pipeline Development
- Book high-quality discovery meetings for sales teams.
- Research and understand target industries, competitors, and trends to improve outreach effectiveness.
- Track performance against key KPIs, including meetings booked, conversion rates from marketing qualified opportunities to sales accepted opportunities, and pipeline contribution.
CRM & Sales Tools Management
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking in HubSpot (or similar CRM).
- Use sales engagement & automation tools to improve efficiency.
Learning & Development
- Stay up to date with industry trends, Conversational AI, and CCaaS solutions.
- Develop skills in sales methodology, marketing automation, and lead nurturing best practices.
Skills and experience required include
At least 3 years of experience in a B2B technology/SaaS business development/lead generation/ sales or account management role and the ability to demonstrate proven skills and a professional approach, which includes the following:
- Proven ability to engage senior-level stakeholders and book high-quality meetings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in using HubSpot or similar CRM.
- Highly motivated with a passion for sales, goal-oriented, and resilient – comfortable handling rejection.
- Ability to achieve & exceed company targets.
Candidates must also be able to demonstrate:
- A strong and positive customer service approach.
- A strong desire to stay up to date with industry trends, Conversational AI, and CCaaS solutions. Develop skills in sales, marketing automation, and lead nurturing best practices.
- The ability to engage with all organisational levels, including director and senior executive level positions.
- Great organisational skills.
- Good negotiating skills.
- Persistence and resilience.
Nice to have
- Education to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business/ Marketing/ IT).
- Understanding of Conversational AI, automation, or contact centre technology and CCaaS.
- Experience working with partners or in a channel-led sales environment.
- Formal sales training (e.g., BANT, MEDDIC, Challenger Sales, or SPIN)
