Location: BELFAST


Job Purpose:


A new opportunity is now open at AIRBUS UK in BELFAST. You will integrate the PY directorate responsible for Procurement Governance and Strategy across the AIRBUS group. You will work for PYD, the international AIRBUS group centre of competence for Procurement digital solutions and processes for AIRBUS commercial, Airbus Defence & Space, and Airbus Helicopters.


You will focus on transforming the procurement information system, collaborating closely with relevant functions at Airbus in Belfast. You will act as the project leader for the SAP/4 Hana transformation project to migrate the main procurement application (MAXIM) from IBM to S/4 Hana. Experience in procurement and project management in the digital domain, especially with SAP or S/4 HANA, is essential.


HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Manage projects related to Procurement processes and Information Systems (PYD), overseeing application operations for Procurement.

  • Interface between Procurement business and IT departments.

  • Design, specify, coordinate, model, test, implement, and manage projects for new digital solutions to enhance procurement efficiency.

  • Support and manage changes in the Airbus Belfast procurement information system.

  • Lead the SAP/4 Hana transformation project for procurement applications.

  • Conduct detailed analyses covering feasibility, risks, operational impacts, costs, and procedural documentation; translate business needs into specifications and user stories using Agile methodology.

  • Lead projects or evolutions at the intersection of business and IM departments.

  • Coordinate deployment, testing, cut-over, training, and support activities.

  • Maintain the functional architecture of the procurement information system, liaising with stakeholders and IT.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Airbus procurement tools like SAP.

  • Manage Business Change Requests, translating needs into technical solutions and implementing continuous improvements.

  • Drive digital transformation across functions and stakeholders in Europe, harmonizing workflows.

  • Keep change management documentation up to date and communicate regularly with stakeholders.


About You

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Information Management, or Computer Science.

  • At least 5 years of experience in digital transformation, procurement, and project management in a global industry or tech environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to propose and implement solutions.

  • Ability to work independently and navigate complex environments.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and project management expertise, especially in Agile.
