Senior R&D Tax Manager - #1684289

Our client, a boutique advisory practice in Belfast, is undergoing significant growth and is now seeking an experienced Senior R&D Tax Manager to lead their high-performing R&D division.

The Role
You will take full responsibility for the delivery and strategic oversight of R&D tax claims across a varied client base. Working with a team of consultants, engineers, and junior staff, you will ensure compliance, manage resources, and uphold the firm's high standards of client service.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of complex R&D tax claims from inception to submission


• Manage and develop a high-performing team, ensuring efficiency and quality


• Build and maintain senior-level client relationships


• Oversee budgets, deadlines, and technical quality across all projects


• Collaborate with partners on business development and strategic growth


• Identify areas for process and operational improvement within the R&D function

Candidate Profile

• 6+ years' experience in R&D tax, ideally from a Big 4, Top 6 background


• ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified


• Strong leadership skills and experience managing multidisciplinary teams


• Deep understanding of UK R&D tax legislation and HMRC requirements


• Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and clients


• Commercially driven with a strong track record of delivering results
